Thoughts on the Color Pink

As a woman and intersectional feminist, I am aware of the stigma around the color pink. To me, it was seen as stereotypically feminine, which has negative connotations of its own, such as weakness, cowardliness and shame. Once I accepted that, the color pink was worn ironically by me. I would wear pink butterfly clips in my hair, buy all things barbie I could find at a thrift store, etc. Eventually I found that it is only what Pink means to YOU that changes anything. If i think pink is hardcore-bad-ass-chick material, that's the only thing that matters. Pink is for everyone. Pink can be bad ass, Pink can be punk, and Pink can come in as many different styles as it does shades.
