Ms. KRAANG, Acrylic on canvas, 12 x 12 inch, 2016

The Unicorn and Set of 4 are an illustrative reaction to my concept of feminine mysticism. Generally, people tend to focus on the small details of a woman's physical appearance to tell the story of who she is. So I amped up this idea of "accessory" and "masking" to see what type of creature it yielded. I believe that the Oculus Rift has the ability to distort and exploit the mysticism and magic of women long-term, breaking them down into virtual sex objects and further obscuring the possibility of connection between men and women, which inspired the first square I created, "Oculus."

Ms.KRAANG is unrelated to the series. I made the piece for the Boss Kraang art show in Florida. It is my female version of Boss Kraang from Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles. He's usually a scary character so I wanted to try to make him super fem for a laugh.
